Rickey Medlocke - "Last of a Dyin' Breed"
Few better ways to start the day than to have my questions asked of a rock n' roll legend from my favorite band. Huge thanks to Pittsburgh's own Randy Baumann and the DVE morning show for soliciting and asking Rickey Medlocke of the mighty Lynyrd Skynyrd some of my questions.
And huge thanks to Rickey for answering them and telling stories even I haven't heard... Great way to start the day.
"Last of a Dyin' Breed" is right..

RIP - Leonard Skinner
Leonard Skinner, "arguably the most influential high school gym teacher in American popular culture," and namesake of the legendary band Lynyrd Skynyrd passed away in Florida a few days ago. (NYTimes obituary here.) May he rest in peace and am curious what he has to say to Ronnie Van Zant now...

Whereupon he unleashed. Including, but not limited to, as I was trying to change him. Woof... And the solid food certainly has altered the odor. Dramatically.
What song should come on as my face twisted in a rictus of disgust, but then yielded to the sheer perfection of it all with a large smile?
"Ooo... That smell.... Can't you smell that smell..."
you can't make that sh*t up. literally.
That's how we know there's a God. And She's hilarious...
