watched some of the memorial service this afternoon. Tremendous eulogy by Jay Paterno. And the lone Blue Band trumpet player playing "Hail to the Lion" as a mournful funeral dirge... Well done Penn State. I know I speak for my Dad too when I quote one of the student signs that lined the funeral procession path, "WE ARE because YOU WERE." God bless Coach... and thanks.

BOWDEN RETIRES! PATERNO WINNINGEST COACH!

In a right & proper move illustrating that there is justice in the football universe, Bobby Bowden has retired, leaving Joe Paterno to claim the title of "Winningest Coach." As it should be.

The move may have been expected, but it's great to see Joe officially claim the title. Good luck in retirement Bobby & vast congratulations Joe.

so it looks like Penn State is Rose Bowl bound, which is a great season.  just wish we had beaten Iowa and were going to the National Championship.  but anyway...  still a great Bowl game.

Bob & Grant's friend Kim from the Adaptive Sports Foundation went to the Michigan State game and had front row seats.  (!!!)  She sent me a few pictures & I particularly liked this one of the Nittany Lion with roses.  Thanks, Kim!
