RIP James Gandolfini

James Gandolfini rented the house across the street from us in Mantoloking, NJ known as "Shingle Top" one summer. After watching him dig grave-sized holes on the beach with a full-sized shovel (and making countless Tony Soprano jokes as a result) I body-surfed directly into his lap. I quickly stammered out an apology and he laughed it off saying, "It's all right." By all accounts a terrific guy, an obviously talented actor, and a neighbor of ours one summer -- a shame to see such a guy go so young.
