An extremely cool evening. The Players celebrates "Booth Night" every year, on the birthday of its founder Edwin Booth. A series of readings & performances including the story of when Edwin Booth saved Robert Lincoln, the President's son from dying. Then a candlelight procession leaves the Club and enters Gramercy Park to place a laurel wreath at Edwin's statue. I was extremely honored to be one of the lantern-bearers.
