as part of our continuing countdown to Jazz Fest -- as we are now inside 2 weeks of our departure and an official week away from the first day of Fest, 2 weeks from our first day of Fest -- here's one of my (many) favorite Jazz Fest memories.
here our good friend Gano (a direct descendant of the founder of New Orleans, Jean-Baptiste Le Moyne, Sieur de Bienville) blows fire late one night during Jazz Fest 2004. (you will note he stripped to the waist and stood by the pool as a safety precaution, with explicit instructions to shove him in should something go awry, as it had been years since he tried.)
