SS Surrender the Booty
Just awesome... TJ sent me a note saying he needed another of my "Surrender the Booty" Jazz Fest business cards, which depict our Jazz Fest flag & my contact details with my title "Swashbuckler." As TJ wrote:
OK Guzilla...
I'm going to need another Surrender the Booty business card.
My little brother has a school project tomorrow... needed to build a styrofoam sailboat for a race in science class. I added a nice little (and inappropriate for 3rd grade) touch. For aesthetics, keeping er' straight, and general debauchery of a minor.
Well done... Teach the children well.

Maru the Cat
saw this in the current issue of Wired magazine. as they correctly point out, the internet is filled with cat videos. "But this is a Japanese cat video."
One for the Spotted Cat
We have seen the Vipers countless times, saw Glen David Andrews join them for one of my all-time favorite versions of St. James Infirmary ("When I die, put my cell phone on vibrate... So my ex-wife thinks I'm still alive.") and even danced alongside Laurence Fishburne there this year.

Colbert to Serve As Guest Editor of Newsweek
Comedic hero Stephen Colbert will be the first guest editor in the magazine's 76 year history. Issue on shelves June 8th!
And here is an excerpt from a commencement speech he just made:
Stephen Colbert, comedian, Medical University of South Carolina: "Traditionally, commencement speakers dole out advice on life and careers to students. But I've made my career as an aggressively ignorant blowhard with a dismissive attitude toward knowledge in general and to science in particular. So, clearly I have no business in giving you any advice. ... Whenever I honestly, sincerely give young people advice ... the most common thing I say is go make mistakes. The best thing I ever did was to give myself permission to be wrong. I can't really give you that advice. It's irresponsible for me to tell graduates of a medical college to go out and make as many mistakes as you can."
